(Finance), Dhaka University 1985, studied and worked in
the U.S.A.
Industry experience: 20 years in ICT industry
(Texas Electronics Ltd established in 1987 for data
processing, CAD/CAM and computer systems supply and
support services).
Association activity: Executive Council Member,
Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh.
Visited various international trade fairs with Government
delegations for industry promotion and development.
Major business achievements: Developed,
implemented, supported and maintained CAD/CAM solutions
for the Garments industry since 1987. Pioneered the growth
of Electronic Payment and Delivery Systems by supplying,
supporting and maintaining the front-end and back-end of
Card Payment Systems, Banking Systems and Delivery
Channels in Bangladesh since 1994, exclusively
representing reputed Companies such as Diebold Corp.,
Hypercom Inc., and Sun Microsystems. Instrumental in
establishing the Country Service Center for the
multi-billion dollar IT Company - Sun Microsystems in
Bangladesh. One of the pioneers in Internet Service
Industry by establishing an industry focused ISP, Global
Online Services Limited in 1996 and a Bangladesh-based web
portal Bangladesh Info.Com Ltd.

in 1999. A promoter of a joint-venture company called
Stitel Technologies Limited, established in 2001 to
develop communication products and systems from Bangladesh
with a primary focus on the new Converging Communication
Technology market.

Syed Farhad Ahmed has been serving as a Managing Director
of Texas Group of Companies since 1985 and one of the key
assets of the management team, who brings 20 years of
industry general management experience, international
market expertise, and a customer management perspective
required in today’s market to successfully sell total
solutions in the local and international market.
Mr. Farhad is a long time veteran of the manufacturing and
communications industry. His experience covers a broad
range of management responsibilities in diversified
industries including: Manufacturing, Garments, Banks, and
ISP’s. Mr. Farhad has been an active participant in
numerous business and professional organizations
including: France Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce,
Bangladesh Garments Manufactures and Exporter Association,
Bangladesh Computer Samity and Internet Service Provider
Association of Bangladesh. Mr. Farhad was an Executive
Committee Member & Vice Chairman, Marketing Committee
of the Bangladesh Cricket Board and he is the
current President of France Bangladesh Chambers of
Commerce & Industry.

Naila Chowdhury is the Group Director –Texas Group Bangladesh in charge of Business development & HR-OD and also the Chief Executive Officer of Horizon International Institute of Training - HIIT, an Associated Partner of HIIT USA LLC.
She started her career in UNICEF. After 8 years of various multifunctional job rotations she joined Marie Stopes as Marketing Consultant for a year and half. Subsequently she was Head of Customer Service in DHL World Wide Express and had an enriching experience establishing best practices from Asia to other countries for long 5 years. She is a pioneer in setting up State of the Art 24X7 Call Center in DHL Express- Bangladesh.
Later, She was appointed as Director of Customer Relations in GrameenPhone Ltd in 1999. She was subsequently given additional responsibility and made Director Human Resources. She has had the privilege to work in seven countries by merit of her expertise and has lead Call Center projects as Synergy Head of Asia-Telenor. Her Telenor Projects gave her exposure to work in Ukraine, Hungary, Thailand, Malaysia, Norway, Denmark, Pakistan & Bangladesh.
She had the privilege and expertise to travel and write project reports on few European affiliates of Telenor like Pannon-Hungary, Sonofon-Denmark, Oslo-Norway, Djuice-Sweden & Kyivstar-Ukraine. While at her position as Head of Revenue Assurance at GrameenPhone along with the other portfolio’s she has completed Fraud Analysts course from i2 University in Cambridge.
She also shouldered additional responsibility and was in charge of the Village phone Project of Grameen Bank on behalf of GrameenPhone Ltd for 2001 & mid 2004. Her last assignment was based in Islamabad-Pakistan where she helped Telenor establish Customer Relations Division as Regional Director of Telenor-Pakistan.
While on these assignments she was working in the capacity of an Expatriate Director in Telenor Norway (mother company and majority share holder of GrameenPhone Ltd) from Asia. Her placement in Oslo was in recognition of her expertise, as one of the most skilled Synergy Experts in Service from Asia. She has had successful project implementation in- Kyivstar-Ukraine, DTAC- Thailand, DiGi-Malaysia, GrameenPhone-Bangladesh and Telenor Pakistan. She has successfully held responsibility as Acting Managing Director in absence of the Managing Director, GrameenPhone Ltd during the leadership of GrameenPhone’s two most successful Country Head’s Trond Moe & Ola Ree.
She holds a Masters Degree in Marketing from Dhaka University. She has also attained Sr. Executive Business Management Diploma from Singapore National University and has also completed Sr. Executive Management Diploma from Stockholm School of Economics, financed by Telenor, Norway.
She is also affiliated with social work for under privileged children of Bangladesh. She has visited many countries as guest speaker from UNICEF and other organizations. Her passion is to be involved in various charity Associations and clubs in Bangladesh, Pakistan and UK.

Russell T. Ahmed is the Chief Operating Officer of Stitel Outsourcing Ltd., a solution provider for BPO (Business Process Outsourcing). He successfully introduced Stitel Outsourcing in the European & US Market for outsourcing option where huge challenge from Indian companies always exists.
Considering his skill of new business development, Russell Ahmed has been awarded the responsibility of COO of other ICT concerns by Texas Group Management. The companies are BangladeshInfo.com, The Leading & Mostly browsed Web Portal of the country; ACE IT Networks, Business ISP; and Global Online Services Ltd., the leading Corporate ISP (Internet Service Provider). Other than the regular Internet, the Company offers critical networking services like IPLC, IPVPN, Data Security, Anti Spam etc. for corporate houses. Under his leadership the company has grown business volume year by year and achieved success in introducing new products & in bringing International business alliances.

Russell Ahmed has been elected as Secretary General of the Executive Committee of ISP Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB). He’s playing important role in giving necessary inputs on behalf of the association to different national-level committees for ICT Policy development.
Russell Ahmed has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from IBA, University of Dhaka. This widely traveled professional visited many countries including UK, Europe and other Asian & Australasian countries for business purposes and attended IT events such as CeBIT, Comdex, CommunicAsia, ITU conferences and shows over the years. |
